Universidad Rey Juan Carlos - URJCThe Degree in International Relations at Rey Juan Carlos University has a study plan based on rigorous, quality criteria. This plan has been designed so that the student learns in detail how international relations are developed, what their main political and institutional assumptions are, in what way the international society is regulated, and what aspects have defined its historical evolution.
One fundamental virtue in the design of the study plan in this degree is its multidisciplinary character. Students will study questions relative to international relations from different and complementary perspectives that will permit them to become highly skilled: Law, History, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, Communication, and, of course, the concrete field of International Relations.
There is no specific restriction from what is required by the law that regulates access to higher education. However, it would be appropriate that the student has specialized in Social Sciences in high school, or else, if the student has had previous university studies, that those studies are related to branches of Law, Political Science, Administration, Economics, History, Communication and Sociology.
To explain and analyze the characteristics, agents, and principle assumptions of international relations.

To offer students multidisciplinary training that allows them to comprehend the complexity and dynamic character of current international relations and its evolution.
To get students to comprehend the functions and jurisdictions of States and of international organizations, as well as the role and relationships of other groups in the international context.

Different subject matter in the study plan offers students the necessary content and tools to understand the evolution and current framework of international institutions, the relationships between nations, and the importance of the expansion of democracy and of human rights protection systems.
To enable students so that they can access further specialized and post-graduate study programs.
